A quarter of a Century later, Pike continues the Proud Tradition. Above: Cheryl Rohleder, Pike Dreamgirl and Miss Colorado for the year 1986.

A Pike Tradition
Since it's beginning, women have had a large place in Pi Kappa Alpha's History. It is often rummored that Junior-Founder Theron Hall Rice became a part of Pi Kappa Alpha in part due to the recruitment efforts of a woman-aquintance of the fraternity. That strong tradition contiues today at the chapter level through the Pike Dreamgirls. These women, although not members of the fraternity, are given special treatment for their help and efforts to strengthen the chapter. Being selected a Pike Dreamgirl is a competative process; many woman apply and only a select few are chosen each year.

The Calendar
In the Early Eightees our chapter began producing an annual calendar featuring the Pike Dreamgirls from our campus. It is not clear which Pike Chapter started the tradition, but many of the larger Pi Kappa Alpha chapters across the Country loved the idea and began producing their own. Many chapters, including Epsilon Theta now donate proceeds of the calendar to local charities.
