The Fall of 1987 proved to be an extreamly successful semester once again for Epsilon Theta. With another successful rush, our chapter grew by 28 members. John Jares and Jim Lebar educated the very successful Lambda Class. This pledge class smashed all records for project completion and participation. Lambda class intiatied several activities which placed them and the Pike name prominently in CSU, For Collins, and even Denver newspapers and television broadcasts. Early and successful completion of all require projects and an un-matched enthusiasm made this Epsilon Theta's most successful pledge class to date. In intramurals, out outstanding football team took the Greek Championship in the Budweiser Tournament. In addition, coed basketball took All-Campus honors. Socially, Epsilon Theta established the Fireman's Ball Formal and held its second annual Lobster & Lowenbrau party with the ladies of Pi Beta Phi. Our philanthropy was a Halloween Carnival with the Thetas. Hundreads of Ft. Collins' children attended, and $2,000 was raised, on behalf of Sertoma, for a hearing and speech scholarship here at CSU.

The Spring of 1988 once again proved Epsilon Theta's prominence locally and nationally.. Twenty new brothers were initiated from the Mu Class. Poudre River Clean-up once again proved a great success as 60 miles of the Poudre Stretch was cleaned. Social Chairman Rick Jenkins planned on of Epsilon Theta's most successful social calendars. Bashes with Alpha Chi, Chi Omega, and Kappa Kappa Gamma highlighted the semester. The semester concluded with perhaps Epsilon Theta's greatest moment on the CSU campus. Pi Kappa Alpha was named Colorado State's MOST OUTSTANDING FRATERNITY for 1988. The successes did not stop there, however, for our chapter still had to attend the National Convention in August.

In Memphis for the National Convention, Epsilon Theta's delegation enjoyed a week highlighted by the dedication of the new Memorial Headquarters of the Fraternity, a model initiation ceremony performed by the Epsilon Theta brothers, and the reception of Epsilon Theta's third consecutive Smythe Award.

In the fall of 1988, Epsilon Theta began its continued success with fall rush culminating with 32 quality pledges. These men formed the Nu class, with Ryan Colosky and Pete Scull as the Pledge Educators. Halloween saw Epsilon Theta complete its first major community service project, in conjunction with the Thetas. In intramurals Rob Much took the all-campus championship in the racquetball tournament, and volleyball proved to be a strong suit for PiKA with brothers Houk and Krawse winning the All-Greek title in the 3-on-3 tourney. Epsilon Theta was also asked by the National Fraternity to help initiate the colony at University of Colorado. The semester closed with the Fireman's Ball at the luxurious Embassy Suites hotel in the Denver Tech Center, capping another successful semester for Epsilon Theta.

The continued success of Epsilon Theta was no exception for the Xi Class of Spring 1989. Fletch Flower and T.J. Perkins were the Pledge Educators of the fourteen fine men that were initiated. Also initiated, as S.D.I's were Ray Martinez, a Fort Collins Police Detective, and Art Paterson, Shane Paterson's father and local Real Estate agent. The Pledge Class had many accomplishments, including: a first place award and $80.00 for the IFC at the Greek Week Festival, a car wash that made over $400 in one day, a 3.0 cumulative G.P.A., the donation of two-foot PiKA letters for the house, and the community service of spending a day cleaning and painting the two story house of an elderly couple in Fort Collins.

Highlights from the rest of the semester include spending a third year on the Poudre River Cleanup, the second annual Bombardier party with the ladies of Alpha Chi Omega, the second annual Jamaican Eclipse party with the ladies of Chi Omega, and a continued tradition that the men of Pi Kappa Alpha are the gentlemen of C.S.U. The tradition of outstanding leadership athletics was not excluded this semester either. Brother Mark Haney was re-elected as ASCSU President. Another Pike first in leadership was the establishment of a new committee called Risk Management chaired by Rob Mucha. He pioneered some new ideas for party management that now insure our livelihood as an organization in the face of growing legal concerns. As for athletics, Pikes dominated the intramural scene by capturing first place in basketball from the SAEs.
